Made from the thin layer of iridescent lining found on the inside of shell, the process of creating the Bernadotte’s watch dial is incredibly delicate. Once extracted, the pearl is then made into a dial by pressing and machining thin disks just 0.2mm thick. The discs are then polished to what can be seen in our beautiful range of watches.

Having developed washable and waterproof leathers, alongside the softest glove leathers, Pittards’ expertise delivers a combination of longevity, flexibility and long-lasting comfort in a range of textures and shades which provide both function and beauty.
Produced by Swedish tannery Tärnsjö Garveri is based amongst the trees in the North of Uppsala in Eastern Sweden, and has been producing beautiful, hard-wearing and sustainable leather for over 140 years. Among the remaining five percent of tanning houses worldwide who still employ the tradition of vegetable tanning, Tärnsjö has employed craftsmen with unsurpassed knowledge and experience in the art since 1873.

ETA’s manufacturing house is nestled in the hills near Lake Biel in the heart of the Jura region of Western Switzerland. Their movements are some of the most reliable in the industry, and are built by hand by artisans with the accumulation of over 200 years of expertise at their fingertips.

Bovine leather is durable and comes in a range of textures. Leather is a soft yet durable material available in a number of different textures and colours. We advise against wearing watches with leather straps in water as this will damage the leather and is not covered under warranty.

Ovine is the technical name given to a sheep skin leather. It is a very soft, durable and breathable material that can come in a variety of different colours. We advise against wearing our watches with leather straps in water as this will damage the leather and is not covered under warranty.

Retroreflectivity helps the eye perceive objects in low-light conditions when illuminated by a light source. Retroreflection occurs when light is reflected in the direction from which it came.

Water Resistancy

3 ATM = 30 Metres. Water resistance in watches is measured by ATM, or atmospheres. A watch will resist water until the pressure of the water is above a certain amount of ATM. 1 ATM is the standard pressure of the atmosphere at sea level, therefore water resistancy up to 3ATM means the watch can resist water until the pressure is above that of 5 times that of sea level, which is roughly 30 metres.
5 ATM = 50 Metres. Water resistance in watches is measured by ATM, or atmospheres. A watch will resist water until the pressure of the water is above a certain amount of ATM. 1 ATM is the standard pressure of the atmosphere at sea level, therefore water resistancy up to 5ATM means the watch can resist water until the pressure is above that of 5 times that of sea level, which is roughly 50 metres.
10 ATM = 100 Metres. Water resistance in watches is measured by ATM, or atmospheres.
